A pretty good experience with the pizza and galette menu

The crepes and pizzas were awful, and when it came time to choose a menu, I politely asked to remove an ingredient, and they told me, "If that doesn't suit you, choose another menu..."

I am very disappointed with the service I received on the phone today. I was simply calling to ask for information because the burger menu isn't detailed on the website. I just wanted to know the ingredients before ordering. The person I spoke to on the phone was particularly unpleasant and condescending. When I asked what was in the burger, she replied curtly, "It's like the picture," in a clearly annoyed tone, as if my question bothered her. She even told me to hurry up and talk while I explained my request. Frankly, this is the first time this has ever happened to me when calling a restaurant. As a result, I didn't order because of this exchange. So, I apologize... I'm sorry for being a customer. I'm sorry for wanting to ask for information. A minimum of respect and courtesy towards customers should not be complicated.

We come here from time to time, and our last visit was at the end of January. We're always just as satisfied. Whether it's pizza or galettes, everything is well-prepared and delicious. Pleasant atmosphere. Warm welcome and very dedicated owners. Fair prices. Don't hesitate!

We've enjoyed wonderful evenings at this restaurant for many years. The quality of the pizzas, savory buckwheat crepes, and especially the dessert crepes is a real treat. The welcome is always warm, and it's a pleasure to chat with the owners. However, during a visit in January, the experience was quite different. The presence of a couple with their child unfortunately disrupted the usually calm and charming atmosphere of this neighborhood pizzeria. The lack of structure around this very restless child made the evening considerably less enjoyable. This won't stop us from happily returning to La Fromentine, which we still love.

I don't know how to describe tonight's experience. It's my birthday. We went to a restaurant with our 3-year-old son to celebrate. I'm still shocked by the reception we received, especially the comment: "You're lucky the restaurant is empty tonight, otherwise we would have asked you to leave." Is your son always like this, or just tired? We offered him paper, markers, a cartoon, and some games. We explained to him to speak quietly and respect the other people who were there to enjoy themselves. My husband ended up putting him in a stroller and taking him out in 5-degree weather. The staff didn't offer any games, just criticism and comments. Our child went home unhappy, having realized that being full of life could potentially lead to social rejection. We are appalled. This place was symbolic for us, where we celebrated important events and anniversaries. The service was quick, though. We also asked for a Diet Coke, explaining that it was important without specifying why. But that, too, was taken the wrong way.

A superb place! We've been coming for a few years now, and it's always just as good. The ingredients are high quality, and the chef is very talented. We always have a pleasant time there.

A truly excellent crêperie in Caen, I think the best I've had in town. Everything is homemade! There's a wide selection of drinks, dishes, and desserts. I'll definitely be back! Thank you so much!
