La Rose des Vents

During our stay in Ouistreham, we discovered La Rose des Vents, a restaurant located in the town center. The restaurant boasts a bright dining room, complemented by a lovely terrace in front. The menu offers a good selection of fish and meat dishes, with specialties such as sweetbreads, seafood sauerkraut, and calf's head with gribiche sauce. For our starter, we chose the daily special, a homemade puff pastry with black pudding and apples. The combination of flavors was excellent. For our main course, we opted for the seafood sauerkraut, a house specialty, featuring several types of fish served with a generous portion of sauerkraut, which was very flavorful. We had a wonderful time. The market-fresh ingredients are top-notch. The welcome is warm, and the value for money is excellent. An excellent restaurant in Ouistreham, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets and the seafront.

One of the few remaining restaurants that truly represent French culinary expertise. Everything is homemade and delicious. We ate there last night, just the two of us, and ordered the three-course menu. Everything was flavorful and the value for money was unbeatable. Delicious food, impeccable service with a passionate and engaging waiter—simply thank you!

A quiet spot away from the crowds. Small terrace. Just a short walk from the port, towards the town of Ouistreham. Highly recommended. I'll be back to try other dishes.

On May 15th, I was passing through the area and a friend (a local who knew this place) invited me for lunch. I discovered this restaurant with great pleasure. We ordered the three-course set menu, which turned out to be delicious and surprising. The service provided by Charlène was impeccable—discreet, efficient, and always smiling. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our first time in Ouistreham and what a wonderful discovery! The service was perfect from start to finish, with a friendly and attentive team. The dishes were truly delicious and everything is homemade, which is immediately apparent in the quality of the presentation. The homemade fries were excellent! Special mention also goes to the crème brûlée, which was absolutely incredible. We highly recommend it!
